Life’s Just Beachy

Like Vacation — Only Not

The Bare Truth

June24

Its 8:00 a.m and the boy is running around the house naked (sorry, internet perves) with a fire mask and a chain saw and nothing else.

To be so free!

Happy Friday

Childhood Friends

June22

A few months ago, I received an email from a childhood friend. Actually, she and I were the best of friends from 5th grade until high school. You know, the bestest of best friends. In high school, we started out in the same school, then she transfered to another school, which happened to think our school was white trash, during that time our friendship suffered a bit, but after high school we lived together for a while.

In high school and after graduation we had a love hate relationship. Usually involving boys. She would like them and they would like me and that created big problems. I ended up marrying her sisters husband’s brother. (Big Mistake by the way.) No she didn’t ever like this one, but his other brother she was in love with. However, he married someone else after we dated. Ahh, Payton Place….he.

Anyway, she ended up married and divorced to an ax murderer (he…a drug addict and thief.) and had baby. This was probably around 20. We both moved on and moved away after that. We have kept in contact every few years with a letter phone call, but always end up going our own way again.

I am enjoying our time getting re-aquainted, but we have both changed so much. So much has went on in our lives over the past twenty years, that the few brief encounters can’t begin to capture. We really are strangers with a past.

Ahhh, Vacation

June20

My family ended up not going on the Lake House trip this past weekend. I felt really uneasy about the whole situation so my the Hub and I decided to just go away as a family and spend some quality time together.

We went down to Orlando and stayed Thursday thru Sunday. We had a wonderful time together. We ended up at Sea World on Friday and drove down to Tampa on Saturday.

Highlights of the trip were the pool! Brother and Sister had the best time playing in the pool and the Hub and I had the best time drinking beer in the lounge chairs by the pool.. he. Sea World was okay, but kinda like after two or three times then why keep going. Sister, or course loved it and rode the new roller-coaster and the Journey to Atlantis. We watched by the side lines. he. Brother wasnt as enthralled with the park and would have been much bette suited with a nicer hotel with a bigger pool.

Friday, we drove down to Tampa and visited my hometown and the local cuban bakery and then drove out to the coast and visited my brother’s family for a few hours. It was a nice visit, even though my brother was out of town. he.

Yesterday, we swam in the pool in the morning then drove home and cooked out and played by the pool for Father’s Day. Our oldest son Big Brother came over and spent the day watching golf with his dad. It was an awesome day.

I wish that I had pictures to show you, as I remembered the camera this time, but (Sorry My Dear Wendy) I forgot film and never managed to get any. The story of my children’s life. Ha

Well, my morning is done and I must go get Brother from Camp.
