Remembering Helga?

August27

It is not easy to find something that will intrigue and bind your interest and enthusiasm. This you must seek for yourself.
Walter Annenberg

I had to laugh when I found “pictures of Helga a Swedish masseuse” in my search keyphrases.

Hilarious.

Another WW Stew

Food for the body is not enough. There must be food for the soul.
Dorothy Day

Last weekend I was at my sisters in Georgia. I decided not to post about it because it would just be a rant post. Anyway, usually when I am at my sisters I look at any magazines or new cookbooks she has while she talks. This usually takes place sitting at the breakfast table while she is finishing up….lunch….dinner….. (yes I help with prep and clean-up) I usually come home with two or three new recipes to try. This one caught my eye because it had the word Tuscan in the title. Anything Tuscan usually fills the bill for me. Last night was a rainy night so a warm soup fit the bill.

Oh, and this is a new weight watchers recipe from their 20 minutes quick cook, if you are interested. Four servings, five points, if made as directed. I am not on weight watchers, but I like to eat healthy and their recipes are usually tasty and healthy.

Make Mine Challah with Jam

August23

Craving, not having, is the mother of a reckless giving of oneself.
Eric Hoffer

Last night I was watching Ham on the Street on the food network. He was playing grilled cheese lotto. You pick a bread, a cheese, and a jelly at random and turn it into a grilled cheese sandwich.

Now I have a terrible craving for Challah with Havarti and Strawberry Preserves.

Ewww, how about a cheese bread with monterey jack cheese and pepper jelly,

Or, A thick white bread with swiss, maybe sneak in a bit of smoked ham or turkey, with a touch of raspberry jam.

Sounds like a trip to the grocery coming up.

I let you know!
