Menu Plan Monday 4/14/08

I promised myself that if I didn’t do anything else, I was going to menu plan this week. Our cuppards are about bare and the kids are whining for real food….snort. Brother asked for steak and cereal for dinner last night. Poor boy.

There’s lots of chicken this week as chicken is a weight watcher friendly protein! Whoot. I’m not really doing to well, I lost two pounds the first week, and gained two this past week. Net weight loss in two weeks. (.)3 “.3″ ounces. I have managed to go back to the gym….get this….at 5:30 A.M. as in in the morning! Course, I only went twice the first week and once last week. I went this morning so I may have a pattern forming….snort.

Anyway..here’s my plan. If you make something on it, I would love to know….the Italian Turkey Sausage Subs are pretty choice. enjoy.

Monday – Pork Tenderloin (marinated with honey and Dijon and spices), Basmati rice, Brussel sprouts.

Tuesday - Grilled Chicken Salad for adults, Grilled Chicken and Fruit for kids

Wednesday – Dinner at Church (or SYS,,,serve your self)

Thursday – Gonna try again for the Slow Cooker Sweet and Sour Chicken, since we haven’t made it yet, Jasmine Rice, Egg Rolls

Friday – Italian Turkey Sausage Hoagies (adults), Hot Dogs for kids, Fruit, Chips

Saturday – Grilled Shrimp in garlic, olive oil and lemon over angel hair pasta

Sunday – Husband’s Choice.

Menu Plan Monday 3/17/08

Finally, after six weeks, I am back with a menu plan. (And a much lighter check book after having gone and done a proper grocery shopping…I gotta do something different there…can you say ouch!)

I already feel as though this week is going to go smoother than weeks past because this is one thing that I don’t have to worry with all week. Enjoy.

I am adding yesterday’s menu because it was so good and I want to remember how we mixed and matched from previous menus.

Sunday: Flank Steak on the grill, Black Bean Salad, Chipotle Cream, and corn tortillas. Chips.

Monday: Fusilli alla Caprese, Crusty Bread

Tuesday: (adults) Fish Tacos, with left over black bean salad and chipotle cream (kids) Breaded fish with veggies.

Wednesday: Dinner at Church

Thursday: Tuna Casserole

Friday: Slow Cooker Sweet and Sour Chicken, Jasmine Rice, Egg Rolls

Saturday: Hamburgers on that grill, fresh fruit, chips

I forgot to post last weeks menus, but I did actually cook. This week we are trying new stuff from Robin Miller and Everyday Foods. I need to type up the Moo Shu Pork Recipe, so if you are interested check back.

Sunday - Calzones and Salad (except I used spinach and hot Turkey Italian Sausage)

Monday - Baked Chicken Breasts, Mushroom Couscous, Broccoli I’m changing this to Chicken, Broccoli and Ziti Skillet for An Ordinary Mom. It Looks Good.

Tuesday - Soy Glazed Salmon and Sesame Green Beans

Wednesday - Dinner at Church

Thursday - Moo Shu Pork, Egg Rolls, Sugar Snap Peas

Friday - Steak, Fingerling Potatoes, Caesar Salad

Saturday - Serve Your Self.
