Dusting Off
Every time I have come to post here in the last two months, I’ve put a few words down then deleted them, then closed the dashboard. Something has changed and as much as I want to get it back, it just doesn’t come.
You see, a few months ago, I went to one of my regular reads and read a post which put blogging and the blog community (the community that I am in) into a different perspective to me. I want to verbalize it, but it has been done to death by those of us who have a different perspective on blogging. The ones who just blog to blog, to share their existence, their families, their skills, their passions, their “weekly menu plans.” Some how it has become unacceptable, that if you are just blogging your life, then you are just wasting space. Apparently it has become “torture to those who may click over and read your drivel.”
I guess, my mindset has become such that I think that there are those who believe they are doing us a service, entertaining us. Or perhaps, it really isn’t about us at all. Maybe, it is just their neighborhood and they are caught in a treacherous circle of needing their readers, but not wanting to play with them?
My blogroll has changed quite a bit over the past two months. Gone are the blogs from people who would want me to believe that they are more than me, because they blog, or more aptly, because they have learned to be a professional blogger (what they/we have deemed “A” bloggers) and because of that they are more than me. Replaced are the blogs that are real, the people are real, the stories are real, the emotions are real.
I don’t really miss my old blogroll. I no longer run through my reader and shake my head (except at you..lol) and think, Why did they write that? We’re they just going for the shock value? Seriously?
I like that.
You were the first blogger that I had an email conversation with, back last November when I first started to blog. I will always want to read your updates. But then, I totally doubt that I would ever be an A list blogger.

Ah Miss Judi, you know what? I couldn’t care less … let them have their A list status. I once had someone leave an anonymous post saying she was happy she didn’t live next door to me … guess I was happy about that too … I miss your posts since I am not able to chat online, it’s one way of catching up. My reads are all of about 10 blogs … you, krissy, michele and the rest … all scrapbooking and then The Pioneer woman … that’s it. Once in a while I click on a couple of comment links, but thats it.
Hope you had a great weekend though … huggles

I hope I didn’t imply that I was sad or whaaaing about not being read? Or, really even about the “A” status thing they got going on. It is just the implying that what others do is not “important” or “readable” because they are not “writers” or whatever. I mean, when I first started blogging many moons ago, remember when Wee? I liked it as a way for family and friends to keep up with me. Of course there have been times when I wanted to be more or popular or have a reader following or whatever. But truthfully, I love that I can look back and have a written story of things that were important enough for me to want to post about. Things my kids will love when they grow up, or not…lol. The whole subject just irritated me to the point, well mostly because this really is nothing in the scheme of our lives, and to ditch others because you feel better then them… it’s irritating.

No, did not think you were and didn’t see it that way at all. I think we’d all like to be popular in one way or another. I totally agree, I was telling G-man about it and I said it’s a history, my previous blog is still up and when I want to remember when something happened, I hop over and take a read, it also reminds me of how far I’ve come … boy, it’s been a road. Who cares about ‘they/them’ anyway … it’s your blog, your life, your hi-story … and remember … those who matter don’t mind (Dr Seuss) … it’s the ones who don’t matter that mind. You don’t need their permission or, my favourite saying ‘they ain’t paying your fees’. Tell them to go eat lemons!
